(Los Angeles, CA) June 26, 2008 - Illusions Cosmetics presented their annual Pre-BET Awards beauty/spa event, "Sparkle, Shimmer & Shine," on Sunday afternoon, June 22, at a private estate in the exclusive Hancock Park section of Los Angeles. Hosted by actress Lauren London ("This Christmas," "ATL"), the invitation-only affair was co-sponsored by Soft Sheen-Carson, Vaseline and Baileys.
Celebrities and VIPs on hand included actress Tasha Smith ("Why Did I Get Married?") and her twin sister, film producer Sidra Smith, actor Jimmy Jean-Louis (NBC's "Heroes"), TV personalities and budding fashion designers Vanessa Simmons and Angela Simmons (MTV's "Run's House"), actor Darrin Henson ("Stomp the Yard"), former model Nicole Murphy, singer/model Steph Jones, twin actresses Malika and Khadijah Haqq ("ATL"), casting director/producer Robi Reed, fashion designer Traver Rains of Heatherette, music retailer George Daniels, actor Thom Barry (CBS's "Cold Case"), actress Jazsmin Lewis ("Barbershop"), actor Gary Anthony Sturgis ("Daddy's Little Girls"), actress Katerina Graham, and 102.3 FM morning radio personality Nautica de la Cruz, among many others.
Two hundred tastemakers attended and indulged in makeup application at the Illusions Cosmetics beauty bar, hair consultation by Soft Sheen-Carson's celebrity hairstylist Johnny Wright featuring their new Weave Care product, massages by Vince Allen and Robert Lewis, manicures by Melissa Bozant, and eyelash extensions by Jimmy Q. Dinh and Ja'Maal Buster. Guests were treated to delicious appetizers catered by Mmm Mmm Catering, two cocktail bars sponsored by Baileys featuring their signature "Chocolatini," and popular music spun on the turntables by DJ Shy.
This year's event was designed by world-renowned event planning company, W.P. Miller Special Events. Gift bag partners included Illusions Cosmetics, Soft Sheen-Carson, Vaseline, Baileys, Alcone, Rosebud Salve, Scentsational Soaps, Foot Petals, Habibi Body, Ceci Cela Essentials, Trim Water, and Hidden Beach Recordings.

AT "GLAMOROUS" BIRTHDAY SOIREE IN HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA

(Los Angeles, CA) March 4, 2008 -- "The Glamorous Life" was the theme of a lavish birthday party held Saturday, March 1st for actress/comedienne Niecy Nash at Cabana Club in Hollywood, California. The exclusive affair was hosted by Niecy's dear friend, fellow actress/comedienne Sherri Shepherd, co-host of ABC's "The View." Celebrities in attendance at the red carpet event included actor Terry Crews ("Everybody Hates Chris"), actress Jenifer Lewis ("Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns"), model/actress Eva Marcille ("America's Next Top Model"), actor Lance Gross ("Tyler Perry's House of Payne"), actress Finola Hughes ("How Do I Look?"), actress Gina Ravera ("The Great Debaters"), actress Melissa DeSousa ("The Best Man"), actress/comedienne Kym Whitley ("College Road Trip"), actor Darryl Stephens ("Noah's Arc"), author Karrine Steffans, TV personality Jai Rodriguez, reality TV star Randy Ritchwood, former teen singing sensation Tiffany, comedienne Loni Love, singer Norwood Young, and cast members from Niecy's two hit shows, "Reno 911!" and "Clean House." Also in attendance were Niecy's proud parents, Margaret Ensley and Sonny Ensley, as well as Niecy's best girlfriends, a group aptly named "The Chocolate Chicks."
Niecy wore a radiant red custom-made gown designed especially for her party by Los Angeles-based fashion designer Angela Dean of DeanZigns. Her grand entrance was marked by the 80's hit, Sheila E's "The Glamorous Life," as she danced her way into the venue, greeting the 300-plus guests that came to give their well wishes. The highlights of the evening were special musical performances by up-and-coming balladeers, Abraham McDonald and Terrell Carter. McDonald serenated Nash with a soulful rendition of "You Are So Beautiful" followed by an impressive version of "Happy Birthday" sung by Carter. She was presented with two birthday cakes designed by Coldstone Creamery with her image emblazoned on each cake.
A silent auction at the party benefited one of Niecy's favorite non-profit organizations, Motivating Our Students Through Experience (MOSTE) www.moste.org, a mentoring program for at-risk girls in the Los Angeles area.
Guests partied the night away while enjoying beverages from Kaboom, an organic energy drink, and Nuvo, a brand-new sparkling vodka made with exotic fruit nectar. Guests were also treated to gift bags filled with products from Avenue, Baby Phat, Bust Magazine, CHI Hair Care, Concord Records, Elcenia's Theme, Habibi, Illusions Cosmetics, Iyama Natural, J. Both adults and kids flocked to the sale for a 'preview' of HABIBI's new Baby Line! Although we don't officially debut the collection until April, we SOLD OUT of every baby product we brought along! The lucky recipients are among the first to try out the new line... and we've heard nothing but good things from them about it!

They were treated to flavored drinks courtesy of Revolution Teas (www.revolutiontea.com) and chocolate delights by Edible Arrangements and Laura's Brownies (www.laurasbrownies.com).

The community event attracted a diverse selection of guests, who soon became first time Habibi customers. They sniffed, slathered, sampled and bought everything from body shampoo to body balm. A portion of every sale was donated to the Foundation for Living Beauty. Every guest was also treated to a free sample of habibi body balm.

August 2006:
Habibi helps launch the public debut of 'Big Bag of $' -- the first feature film by Hollywood up and comer Scott F. Evans. Our goodie bags were actually 'little' bags of Habibi body balms... not money. Still - the more than 150 guests who got their hands on one thought they were pretty priceless! Habibi body products were also used during production of, and featured in the film.

Habibi helped support the fight against Breast Cancer. Joining forces with The Foundation For Living Beauty and the Denise Roberts Breast Cancer Foundation, Habibi donated more than 200 luxurious body balm samples. We also created two complete collections of our bestselling fragrances: Honeysuckle and Serenity, and donated them for purchase in a silent auction. 100% percent of all proceeds went to the Denise Roberts Breast Cancer Foundation.

and smiling for the cameras...
All in all, it was a great time.
